The previous mainline entry in the long-running series—Fire Emblem: Three Houses—inspired a plethora of Fire Emblem Heroes content within its first year of release. Among other things, the mobile game received numerous Three Houses characters, many of which were previously voted on by the community.

Starting Thursday, January 19, Fire Emblem Heroes players can claim the Order of Heroes item set for Fire Emblem Engage. Doing so will also provide fans with five Orbs that they can put toward castle upgrades or new character rolls in the popular mobile game. Redeeming the offer requires linking one’s Nintendo Account to Fire Emblem Heroes from the in-game settings, then opening the Quests & Missions tab and tapping the coin icon in the upper-right corner. This is where players will be able to grab the Order of Heroes item set code that can be redeemed via the Nintendo Switch eShop. Note that the said code will only be valid for 150 days from the moment it’s received.

New Fire Emblem Heroes players will first have to complete a short in-game tutorial before being able to access the Quests & Missions menu and take advantage of this promotion. Redeeming the Order of Heroes item set code on the eShop will work like adding a free DLC to one’s account. The items themselves will be obtainable in Fire Emblem Engage once players reach Somniel—their base of operations—in the early hours of the upcoming strategy RPG.

The Order of Heroes item set contains three S-rank Bond Rings which will allow players to summon Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna, among other benefits. A trio of legendary weapons in the form of Folkvangr, Fensalir, and Noatun are also part of this mini DLC package.

Based on the previous Fire Emblem games and promotional screenshots provided by Nintendo, Noatun is an S-tier axe, while Folkvangr and Fensalir are swords. Seeing how Fire Emblem Engage is removing durability considerations from the series’ staple gameplay loop, having access to high-powered weapons from the early stages of its campaign is likely to be a game changer, especially on higher difficulty levels.

Fire Emblem Engage is coming to Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.
