As revealed by game director Genki Yokota in an interview with Famitsu, Fire Emblem: Three Houses will have two difficulty levels at launch, but a third will be added for free at some point later on. Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be adding a “Lunatic” difficulty post-launch that is designed to give players an extra challenge and really push their Fire Emblem skills to the limit.

Besides the free Lunatic difficulty update, Fire Emblem: Three Houses will have some other post-launch content as well. Much of this content will be paid DLC through the Expansion Pass, which will add new costumes, maps, missions, and more for players to try once they’ve had their fill of the main game.

Of course, in true Fire Emblem fashion, completing the main game is going to be an extremely time-consuming venture. With three storylines for players to complete, Fire Emblem: Three Houses is said to be over 200 hours long. How different each story actually is remains to be seen, but that’s still a ton of content.

Better yet, players can get this massive game at a discount on launch day if they shop at the right place. It’s been confirmed that Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be sold at a discount at Walmart on launch day, with those interested in the strategy game able to get it for $49.99, $10 off the usual asking price.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is looking to continue the franchise’s hot streak, and with the sheer amount of content it is offering and deals like the Walmart launch day sale letting even more players get in on the action, it’s poised to do just that.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses launches on July 26, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
