Now, less than a year after Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released, the game is finally getting a discount, which wasn’t even made available during Black Friday 2019 on most major video game retailers. Players interested in picking up the game would be happy to know that Walmart is selling Fire Emblem: Three Houses for $49.95, which is 17% off its original list price of $59.99. While the price reduction may not be much, the game is definitely worth getting given that Fire Emblem: Three Houses offers players tons of hours of enjoyable gameplay.

Ever since its release last year, Fire Emblem: Three Houses quickly became a massive hit for Nintendo, and the game even ranked as the seventh most downloaded Switch game of 2019. For players unfamiliar with the game, Three Houses take place in the continent of Fódlan that is divided between three rival nations and connected through the Garreg Mach Monastery.

The player takes the role of the monastery’s newest instructor and is tasked to guide students through a series of battles. Upon starting the game, players will be asked to choose which house to lead, which may be overwhelming at first given that there are so many considerations to ponder upon such as the stats of members of each house, romanceable characters, and many more.

Apart from the cast of well-fleshed out characters, Fire Emblem: Three Houses offers a sizable amount of story that is interconnected between all the available paths the players can take. Although Three Houses pretty much tied up the majority of the loose ends within its main story campaign, the game still left a lot of unanswered questions that are still shrouded in mystery. Luckily for players, there is still hope to get answers to these questions given that the game is continuously getting post-launch DLC’s.

Last November, Nintendo released an update that allowed players to interact with animals in the game. To the uninitiated, the hub area of the Garreg Mach Monastery is filled with an assortment of stray cats and dogs that players couldn’t interact with originally. Unfortunately, the level of interaction provided by the update wasn’t enough for some fans, given that while they can feed the animals from a distance, it still didn’t provide the ability to pet them.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
