Since the gameplay is very different from Three Houses’, Dimitri’s Great Lord Class has been molded to fit the style of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He can string together combos and dish out massive damage to his opponents as a Great Lord. Combine this with his Unique Abilities and the Areadbhar Heroes’ Relic and Dimitri will be a unit worth having on the front lines.

Great Lord: Unlocking, Build, and Class Abilities
Great Lords have excellent Speed and Charm, but their Strength makes them stand out. On the downside, the Great Lord’s Magic, Luck, and Res are very poor. This can be mitigated by using stat-enhancing items like the Secret Book on Dimitri, or by equipping him with Abilities that balance out his weaknesses. Because of these shortcomings, it’s wise to keep Dimitri from enemies that rely primarily on Magic.
Dimitri’s high Charm makes him ideal for deploying battalions. These are used to grant a one-tier advantage against the weapon weak against the battalion. For example, a sword-based battalion will decrease the damage received from axes.
At the start of Chapter 4, Dimitri will be promoted to the High Lord Class. This is essentially a weaker version of the Great Lord Class, which doesn’t unlock until Chapter 7. Unfortunately, there are more prerequisites to obtaining the Great Lord Class. Dimitri will need to have mastered the following:
High Lord or Cavalier (Intermediate) Paladin (Advanced) Class
If this is the first playthrough, then it will be impossible to access any Master Classes until Chapter 10, since Master Seals can’t be obtained in Part 1. This still applies even if Dimitri has mastered the Paladin Class. Without a Master Seal, the Great Lord Class will remain locked.
The Great Lord Class has the following Class Abilities:
Charm: Will restore some HP to surrounding allies upon defeating an enemy commander. Sword Buster Lv 5: Increases damage to sword-wielding enemies by 100%.
The following are Abilities that Dimitri will learn upon ranking up the Great Lord Class. Even though they are unlocked from the Great Lord Class, some of these can be equipped when Dimitri is training as a different Class, such as a Holy Knight:

The Best Abilities for Great Lord
While the Great Lord Class is one of Dimitri’s three recommended Classes (indicate by the blue arrows on the Change Class screen), players would be wise to have him master other Classes to unlock various Abilities. This will aid in Dimitri’s battle prowess and provide passive support. At most, each unit can learn ten Abilities if they’re trained at a fully-constructed Tactics Facility. Depending on how players wish to use their Great Lord, Abilities can be swapped out for accommodation.
The following Abilities consist of ten recommendations when using Dimitri as a Great Lord:
While Dimitri’s Innate Ability (Inspiring Speed) can be useful when players are in a hurry, the damage dealt to them during a dash attack will not count towards the hit counter. If players wish to swap this out with another Ability, they can do so.
Dimitri’s Minor Crest has a 20% chance of significantly increasing damage to enemies hit with Combat Arts or Magic but will increase the cost of weapon durability. This unfortunately doesn’t nullify the Armsthrift Ability, but players might want to equip Armsthrift anyway for the times that Dimitri’s Crest Effect fails to trigger.
Finally, Essence of Lightning is useful because it doubles the damage of Dimitri’s lightning-based Combat Artes. Having this paired with Fiendish Blow will stack more power onto elemental effects. With Azure Lightning (Unique Ability), Fiendish Blow and Essence of Lightning can help Dimitri in seizing various strongholds or slaying powerful enemies such as the Demonic Beasts or Golems.
