1. Matt Holliday, OF, Cardinals. Holliday is coming alive. He went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in a 7-1 win against the Braves. He finished 6-for-13 with five RBIs in the three-game series and pushed his average back up to .285.

  2. Eric Hosmer, 1B, Royals. Hosmer capped a fantastic series against the Padres by going 3-for-4 with four RBIs in an 8-0 win. Hosmer went 7-for-15 in the series and improved his average to .306.

3 Down

  1. Anthony Rizzo, 1B, Cubs. Rizzo’s average is starting to correct itself, and he’s struggled in the cross-town series against the White Sox. He’s 2-for-12 with no homers and no RBIs the last three nights, including an 0-for-4 performance Wednesday.

  2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B, Red Sox. Pedroia finished 0-for-4 with four Ks – just the second time that’s happened in his career – against the Reds. Consider it a fluke considering it’s the first time Pedroia has struck out multiple times in a game this season.

  3. Hector Santiago, SP, Angels. Not that many owners are using Santiago for spot starts, but he fell to 0-6 after allowing six runs in 2.1 innings against the Yankees.
