As far as the Xbox free Games with Gold games for January 2023 are concerned, the first one of those is available now, with subscribers having until January 31 to claim it. Iris Fall is the first new Xbox free Games with Gold game for January 2023, and it should appeal to puzzle game fans. Iris Fall earned mixed reviews at the time of its original release, with many of the complaints focused on its short length, but that shouldn’t be as big of an issue for someone playing it as a free Games with Gold game.
Xbox Free Games With Gold Games You Can Claim for Free Right Now
Bladed Fury (until January 15) Iris Fall (January 1 - January 31) Autonauts (January 16 - February 15)
Iris Fall is available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to claim right now, but the other free game for January 2023 won’t be available until January 16. On January 16, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have the opportunity to grab Autonauts, and they will have until February 15 to do so. Autonauts is a colony-building simulation game that earned stronger reviews than Iris Fall, so it should make for a decent addition to the Games with Gold lineup.
Even so, it’s easy to see how Xbox Live Gold subscribers would be unimpressed with the Games with Gold games for January 2023, especially in comparison to the free PS Plus games for January 2023. It’s obvious that Xbox simply is not as interested in its Games with Gold titles anymore, but the free games are still a nice bonus for those who are signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
