The Dayton Daily News received an email from a bartender alleging that he had a charged incident with Acosta-Grommon in August. Ryan Collins, a bartender at Elsa’s Corner Cantina in Sugarcreek Township, said he was serving Acosta-Grommon on August 29. He noticed that she was behaving loudly and inappropriately and made the decision to cut her off, taking away the last drink she was served. In the email, Collins, who identifies as black, said that he overheard the woman stating she “hated black people” and “hated representing them....

Sony was recently under fire after it announced it would be closing down the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3, PSP, and PlayStation Vita consoles, which meant gamers would lose access to classic titles. After the announcement, many criticized Sony for its lack of respect for preserving gaming history and the lack of notice it had given developers who were still making games for the consoles. This lead to the company backtracking and stating that only the PSP store would be closed....

Considering Firewatch is a PC and PS4 title (sorry Xbox One users) made by a few of the creative leads from Telltale’s The Walking Dead, it should come as no surprise that the game puts story first. Players control firewatch volunteer Henry during a summer-long stint in the aftermath of the Yellowstone fires in the late ’80s. There are very few other characters present in the forest and players spend most of the time hiking through the wilderness in the first person and chatting on a walkie-talkie with the game’s female lead, Delilah....

A select number of PlayStation 4 users are currently taking part in alpha testing for Nioh 2, Team Ninja recently confirmed. Team Ninja failed to mention how exactly these users were chosen, but it does state that there are no current plans to expand the alpha at this time. Player will be testing the alpha demo until Sunday, June 2. This may be a bit of a bummer for Nioh fans who want in, but at least the developer was good enough to release a trailer for those not getting any hands-on time....

James B. Gilmore, one of three Wilmington Police Department (WPD) officers who were fired over comments made about Black people in a recorded conversation, sent a letter to the Wilmington Civil Service Board on July 2, in which he argued his comments were protected by the Constitution. “I did not make any comments based upon racist ideology and my comments were directed towards the Black Lives Matter movement, which has cost officers their lives, threatened officers with death, threatened to kill officer’s family members, to include their children,” Gilmore wrote in the letter....
